I only got through 3 books this month instead of my usual 4 and none of them were business related. Sometimes a mental break is just what you need.

1. Smart Money Smart Kids

This is the latest book by Dave Ramsey and I’m a big fan. Getting smart with money got my family to pay off 20k in one year and cashflow a vacation.

This book teaches you to raise kids that are money smart, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes you did and rack up debt.

Highly recommended as a read. Then read it again in a few years, then again.

2. Badass

I’ve listened to this one a few times and have always enjoyed it in the past. It’s a ‘manly’ look at some bad ass military figures of the past. A number of woman are recognized for their bravery as well.

Now, if you’re not interested in hearing phrases like “he ran up to him balls out and smashed him in the face till he died then he kicked a puppy” this is not for you.

The reader does it all ‘over the top’ so they’re not taking the language seriously. I’m just warning you.

3. The Worthing Saga

The Worthing Saga is by Orson Scott Card of Ender’s Game fame. This book is actually one main story of Jason Worthing and his special gifts. Once you finish that, you get taken back and filled in to much of the lore that is history in the main story.

This is my second or third time reading this book and as always, it was enjoyable.

Now start reading for June.
